    The City of Northglenn is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Laboratory Technician to join the Laboratory Services Team!


    Duties include collecting water quality samples year-round; conducting chemical and/or bacteriological examinations; calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment; performing chemical and mathematical calculations; data entry.  Additionally, this position may participate in public education endeavors, such as presentations, water festival booths and Water Treatment Facility tours.

    The City of Longmont is now accepting applications for the position of Water Quality Analyst.


    The accepted applicant will work under the direct supervision of the Water Quality Laboratory Supervisor, perform complex and advanced chemical and microbiological analyses on water, wastewater, and related solids and liquids in support of the efficient operations of the water and wastewater treatment plants. Provide laboratory services to support drinking water, wastewater and other environmental programs in the Public Works and Natural Resources Department.

    The Water Quality Analyst is a laboratory position responsible to collect and perform quality control and NPDES required tests on wastewater samples, calculate and enter data, prepare chemicals and maintain equipment. Work involves wet chemistry, taking water samples from rivers (both upstream and downstream), pretreatment samples from industrial users, and the wastewater treatment plant. The analyst performs required tests and prepares appropriate reports for the WPCF, state and federal monitoring agencies.  Analyst will work Monday through Friday and will be required to work some Saturdays and holidays to ensure coverage.
